Against a backdrop of gentrified drag, Tammy declares herself a misfit, a rogue outsider who bemoans the success of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and other “tit clowns.” In between songs, Tammy shares vulnerable discoveries and reflects on the experience of being an outsider while making the realization that “we’re all surviving something.” From there she realizes her purpose: Tammy isn’t a meal ticket to easy fame and stardom, like she thought. She is a statement, representing that self-expression should be as crazy and wild and free no matter who you are, what you are, why you are.
