Sandy Silverberg apparently didn’t have enough to do.

At 68, after a lifetime spent doing pretty much everything except writing songs, he started writing songs. One thing led to another and, despite his better judgment, he released his first album, No Regrets, on his 70th birthday. Now he’s turning 72, which seems like as good an excuse as any to release another one.

Join Sandy for his 72nd birthday and the release of his second album, Authenticity — an afternoon of original music, stories, observations, occasional oversharing, and whatever else happens when you give him a microphone for 70 minutes.

The songs on Authenticity wander through love, loss, family, aging, relationships, resilience, and the ongoing adventure of trying to figure yourself out when you’re supposedly old enough to have done that already.Sandy has no formal musical training, which has not stopped him so far. He spent most of his professional life in technology and business before discovering, rather late in the game, that he had songs in him.

Come celebrate the birthday, the album, and the highly questionable decision to begin a music career in your late sixties. It started, as many questionable decisions do, with a guy trying to impress a girl.
