Diane D'Angelo in Closing Credits
After many years in San Francisco, Veteran Cabaret Artist, Diane D’Angelo has returned to New York — and to the Laurie Beechman Theatre with Closing Credits, her second show since her homecoming. Realizing how enormous even the smallest of songs can be at the end of an already provoking film, D'Angelo has put together an eclectic and richly musical evening of songs that have played over those final frames. From the gripping and heartbreaking to the rousing and inspirational. D'Angelo shares an hour or so with us that only she can handle quite this way. A musical tasting menu of reimagined songs that were originally presented with sweeping orchestrations, or random popular tunes we never thought we'd hear again. D'Angelo is the perfect blend of sensual honeyed vocals and bountiful spirit to be weaving together an evening of these everlasting last notes. BroadwayWorld says, “Diane D’Angelo is brimming over with a perfect combination of talent, confidence, sass and humor, and an absolute mission to connect to every person in her audience.”
With Music Director, Gregory Toroian, Skip Ward on bass, David Silliman on drums.
Directed by Lina Koutrakos.
